Canyon Cody

Canyon Cody is a global bass DJ/producer from Los Angeles who brings together retro-futuristic dance riddims from across the tropics. Co-founder of Subsuelo, Canyon Cody's DJ sets traverse across genres and generations, crisscrossing borders and BPMs, always bringing the heavy bass to a fresh mix of cumbia, salsa, dancehall and dembow. His party Subsuelo was awarded "Best Dance Party is Los Angeles" by LA Weekly. He's a Fulbright scholar in Ethnomusicology and worked extensively with Fania Records as Executive Producer of remix compilations from the iconic Latin catalog. Canyon has performed at Coachella, Red Bull Music Academy, Supersonico, Lightning in a Bottle, Boiler Room and festivals across Latin America. Canyon Cody currently hosts Alternalido, a weekly radio show based at KROQ 106.7 FM in Los Angeles where he has interviewed Juanes, Cypress Hill, C Tangana, Danny Ocean, Caifanes, Omar Apollo and more.
